Countdown Day 3

My new book Resurrection Year: Turning Broken Dreams into New Beginnings releases in just 3 days! (Tuesday May 28). Each day in the lead up I’m posting a photo drawn from Merryn’s and my life that relates to a chapter of the memoir.

Monday’s photo related to chapter 1

Tuesday’s photo related to chapter 2

On Wednesday I announced the Resurrection Year Webcast, so no photo. (But make sure you check your local time and book in for this special event)

Thursday’s photo related to chapter 3

Yesterday’s photo related to chapter 4

And today’s relates to chapter 5

What does the above image have to do with broken dreams and new beginnings? (Hint: the sign above the window has something to do with it.) As mentioned previously, I won’t tell you the answer. Instead, the most creative or insightful guess wins an ebook (PDF) copy of Resurrection Year!

“I lift my eyes up to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth… ”

The significance of this picture is an easy one for me to interpret, because my husband is a deep thinking soul who is like you in quite some ways, Sheridan Voysey (only is MUCH better, sorry!) 🙂
That being the case, I would suggest, the mountains are a place you go to talk with God, find answers, healing? You have headed for the alps to be repaired. This photo captures a place where you found restoration, yes?

(If my husband had taken this photo, those alps would be covered in snow, and he would be just setting out to climb them and camp a few nights up there 🙂

You’re heading in the right direction, Clare (to continue the trekking metaphor). Yep, the fact that if your husband took this shot the mountains would be snow covered and he’d be on his way to climb them proves clearly that he’s the better man!

        Can’t argue with that 🙂

I think it’s the L’Abri retreat, which Francis Schaffer started. I assume you were there to rest and reflect.

A mountain retreat, a well earned holiday for both of you! You are drinking in the pure fresh air and feeling rejuvenated. there’s new hope as in Psalm 121-

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

    Slowly God’s healing presence pervades….

oops I just paged down and sw…someone else has said the sililar thing!
