The Snow Falls in Oxford

‘Hi, it’s me,’ she says.

I wonder why Merryn is calling me so soon after leaving for work.

‘I think you should go for a walk.’

‘Oh, really,’ I reply. ‘Why?’

‘Because the snow has fallen, turning parts of the city all silvery.’

‘I don’t know if I have the time,’ I say. ‘But maybe.’

‘Take your camera,’ she says, ‘and go to the gardens on Parks Road.’

‘You should see it,’ Merryn adds eagerly.

‘So beautiful.’

‘Maybe,’ I say.

‘I’ll see if I have time.’

The snow has fallen early in Oxford this year, turning parts of the city into a silvery wonderland.

This is a beautiful photo essay Sheridan. Really breathtaking the way something cold and wet can produce astounding beauty like that. God’s kiss. 🙂

God’s kiss – I like that! Thanks Linda. Beauty breaks through the chill as much as sunshine…
