Premier Woman to Woman Conference, Central Hall, London
Ten years. Ten whole years of waiting. And at the end of those ten years my wife Merryn and I come to this heart-breaking conclusion—our dream of having a child is over. We know the feeling of raised expectations and crushing disappointment. We know the heartache, pain, and jealousy you can feel. We know the anger at God, the guilt over being ‘the cause’ of the problem, and the unexpected burden of hope. And after speaking to thousands of people from all walks of life, I now know these feelings aren’t limited to infertility. The same feelings are there over the broken dream of singleness, divorce, the loss of a career, or the dream career never starting. I also know that you can start again and see your broken dream become a new beginning.
The Book
The unexpected outcome of our ordeal was Resurrection Year, a book that has brought hope to many across the world. Shortlisted for the 2014 ECPA Christian Book of the Year award, Resurrection Year describes the ins and outs of our starting life over and the surprising ways God brought good out of bad. |
